And it might be the sign that your “detector” part of the brain is not functioning properly.
Being gay and doing gay things are two different things. If you were born in such a way that you found the same sex attractive, then that's not a sin. The moment you sin is when you promote the thoughts and/or you actually sleep with the same sex.

For example, if you’re angry at your brother, then you have already murdered, or if you lusted after a woman, you committed adultery.
< But feeling angry or feeling lust is not the same as being angry and lusting after a woman.
For being tempted is not what is sinful, but following the temptation is.
< STRONG According to the Pentateuch (first 5 books of the bible), it's not.
Even if you lust after the same sex, it wasn't considered "officially" sinning in the Pentateuch ... rather it's the moment that you're caught committing the act, you’re liable for death.
