Are Christians supposed to say to Homosexuals “you’ll go to hell”?

< STRONG No. We are not to judge. (Biblical)

Mat 7:1  Don't condemn others, and God won't condemn you.

Mat 7:2  God will be as hard on you as you are on others! He will treat you exactly as you treat them. (CEV)

However, we are not supposed to commend the sin. It is clear that Jesus is against sin, but not the sinner.

There are Christians who use "you'll go to hell" as an insult or defense. This is judging. We are not supposed to do this, but instead let the homosexuals know that their actions are ill-regarded in the Bible, just as other actions are. It is not good to be mean and nasty with them and say "you'll go to hell." We don't say that to a person who steals or lies, so likewise with homosexuals.

>> But Paul said to not associate with sinners.

[need explanation]

< STRONG No. The Bible never said that homosexuals go to hell.

It does say this though:

1Co 6:9  Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,  (ESV)

Does not inheriting the kingdom of God mean going to hell? Not necessarily. For it is possible to enter the kingdom of Heaven but not inherit it. [need explanation]

>> But "homosexual offenders" is improperly mistranslated.

1Co 6:9 "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders (arsenokoitai)" (NIV)

"Because the NIV did such a lousy job and mistranslated the Greek word, arsenokoitai, many people concluded that homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God.
If the NIV translators had bothered to study instead of just going by what the Greek lexicons say, the gay community could have avoided a lot of pain and heartache.

"Arsenokoitai has never been a reference to a lesbian couple or a gay male couple. Instead, in the first century, arsenokoitai referred to shrine prostitution or rape or having sex with angels. That is the behavior Paul was describing when he used the Greek word, arsenokoitai.

< Maybe true, but it doesn't endorse it either.

"Although the specific type of homosexual behavior mentioned in these two passages may be male prostitution and abusive homosexual practices, this does not in itself argue in favor of “loving, monogamous, homosexual” relationships. In fact, that concept is foreign to the New Testament. Both of these passages do condemn “fornication.” Fornication is a broad term that includes homosexuality. This is so for two reasons: (1) fornication refers to illicit sexual behavior; and (2) all sexual behavior that violates, is contrary to, or in addition to, the heterosexual behavior implied by a monogamous marriage, is illicit.
