< STRONG No. Don’t give Pearls to Pigs. (Biblical)
Matt 7:6: Don't give to dogs what belongs to God. They will only turn and attack you. Don't throw pearls down in front of pigs. They will trample all over them.
The pearls are likely things that people can’t handle or don’t appreciate although it could help them.
>> OK Yes, since they might later come to appreciate you and your care for them.
Just let them know that you’ve done it for them, and that it will help them, then you’re off the hook for responsibility.>> STRONG Yes. Just as God made the sun rise for the evil, do good things to evil people.
Matt 5:45 Then you will be acting like your Father in heaven. He makes the sun rise on both good and bad people. And he sends rain for the ones who do right and for the ones who do wrong.
< But without the sun the evil people would die.
>> But Jesus said to not let the right hand know what the left hand is doing.
So those people don't have to appreciate it in order for you to give it to them, even though they don't need it.
< STRONG Consider why Jesus said to give to the poor and needy AND NOT THE RICH!
It would make little sense to give to those NOT in need and when they don't appreciate it. It's just like throwing pearls to pigs.
< STRONG We are instructed to love our enemies and to do good to others even if they aren't good to us. (Biblical)
We are instructed to "love our enemies" and giving to someone who doesn't respond or care would be included in this command.
Jesus said, "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' do that... But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked." (Luke 6:32,33,35)
