Ephesians 5:4: Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking.
2 Timothy 2:14: Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly.
As seen from the scriptures above, Christians are commanded to avoid the use of foul, ungodly language. As a rule of thumb, does your speech honor God? Or in other words, would Jesus make that joke, say that word, or make fun of that situation?
