< STRONG Yes, some will be judged more strictly than others. (Biblical)
Luke 20:46,47 Beware of the scribes, who like to walk around in long robes, and love greetings in the marketplaces and the best seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at feasts, who devour widows' houses and for a pretense make long prayers. They will receive the greater condemnation.
James 3:1 Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.
Matt 7:2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Matt 11:21,22 Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.
John 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him.
John 12:48 There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day.
< Yes. Lazarus went to Heaven because he was poor and lived a hard life.
He got judged differently because of his hard life compared to the rich man's.
Luke 16:19 "There was a rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day.
Luke 16:20 And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores,
Luke 16:21 who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man's table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores.
Luke 16:22 The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried,
Luke 16:23 and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side.
< STRONG The rich man most likely went to hell because he wasn't a good person. People don't go to hell just because they are rich, nor do all the poor go to heaven.
Lazarus was laid out in front of the rich man's gate and daily begged for food. Verse 21 says he "longed to eat what fell from the rich man's table," indicating his strong hunger and how he had to eat whatever fell from the man's plate. This means that the rich man didn't give him food, and if he did, it wasn't enough to satisfy him. The rich man was selfish and that played a part in his judgment.
The poor don't automatically go to heaven, nor do the rich automatically go to hell. We are judged based on our actions on earth and whether or not we accept Jesus as Lord of our lives (Rom 10:9, Matt 25:32, Gal 2:6).
