< WEAK The 10 Commandments.
< That's only part of it.
The 10 commandments are included in the law (the law of Moses), but they're only 10 out of the 600+ commands in the OT. Further, they aren't considered to be a part of the "Prophets."
< STRONG The entire Old Testament.
The Law referred to the Pentateuch- traditionally believed to be written by Moses - (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy), and the prophets included the twelve minor prophets, Joshua, Judges, 1 and 2 Samuel, 1 and 2 Kings, as well as Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel (but not Jeremiah or Daniel).
The "Psalms" Jesus referred to in Luke 24:44 were actually a grouping of what we call the 'Writings'. "Pslams" referred to the largest out of three groups in the Writings, and included Psalms, Proverbs, and Job. The second division included Song of Solomon, Ruth, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes, and Esther. And the third division included Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah, and 1 and 2 Chronicles.
The New Testament references to the Law and prophets did not leave out this last group. Anyone used by God to write scripture was considered a prophet, and thus a reference to the law and prophets was a reference to the entire Old Testament. For example, Luke 24:27 states, "And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he [Jesus] expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself" then in verse 44 he says, "all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and [in] the prophets, and [in] the psalms, concerning me." The 'law and the prophets' and 'the law, the prophets, and the psalms' both refer to the entire Old Testament.
