Because in Exodus, it doesn't number the commandments, it just lists them. And because of this, some demoninations differ by just a tad bit, with the numbering of the commandments. So how do we know for sure?
< It says it explicitly in Deut:
Deu 4:13 And he declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, that is, the Ten Commandments, and he wrote them on two tablets of stone.
